Natural Alternatives for Treating Asthma

Asthma Home Remedies

Milk and milk products - I have found that some remedies online tell you to drink a glass of milk if you are unable to breath. Milk and milk products should always be avoided by someone with asthma. Milk causes more phlegm build up which narrows your airways even more. STAY CLEAR OF MILK AND MILK PRODUCTS!

Treat asthma using a steamy bath or shower

Treat asthma with a steamy bath or shower - I have suffered from asthma since I was a small child. When I got an attack my mother used to take me into the bathroom and turn just the hot water on. The room would fill with steam. She would hold me so my head was just inside the shower. This works great if you don't have a humidifier.

Treat asthma using coffee - When you feel you can't breath due to asthma drink a cup of very strong coffee. Make it as strong as you can stand. Do Not add any milk or cream.

Treat asthma using massage.

Treat asthma using massage - when you suffer from asthma getting rid of the phlegm will help you breath better. Lay down over a persons lap or on a bed face down with a pillow under your stomach so that your head is slightly lower than the abdomen. Have someone rub and pat your back firmly from the middle of your back up to the highest part. This will help the phlegm to move. Hope this helps as it has for me.

Treat asthma using eucalyptus oil - Eucalyptus oil is beneficial for treating a large number of illnesses. Eucalyptus oil can be used in many different forms to reduce the symptoms of asthma. For my son who is now 11 I soak a paper towel each night in pure eucalyptus oil and leave by his head while he sleeps. You could also use the oil in a steamer and get the person to inhale the steam. This also works well.

Treat asthma by clearing out the sinuses - This remedy was given to an asthma support group by a ears nose and throat specialist. Mix together a cup of warm water, a half teaspoon of salt and a pinch of baking soda. Use a bulb syringe to flush the solution through your sinuses. Flushing out the allergens will stop them from going to the bronchial tubes causing asthma.

Treat asthma using the below method - In a saucepan mix together 2 glasses of water, 1 stick of Cinnamon, 2 tablespoons of Thyme, 1 lime (halved), 3 Heads of Garlic and 1/2 purple onion. Bring this mixture to the boil and add 1 more cup of cold water. Let it boil until it reduces to half. Strain the liquid and drink as a tea or if you have children with asthma, they can take 1 tablespoon every 3 hours mixed with honey.

Treat asthma using honey, radish and lemon juice - Blend together honey, radish and lemon juice until it's well blended with no lumps. Heat the mixture and take 1 teaspoon each day.

Remedy
I heard about this remedy that native people have been using for generations to cure asthma. I tried it on my children and they have been asthma free for over 1 yr. No pumps or medications needed!! Go and find pine cones 6-8 (the big fat ones, more sap the better) boil in water for 20-30 mins. When cooled strain and put in coffee cup and drink. Tastes awful, but It REALLY works!
