Treat head
lice with white vinegar - Mix 50 parts white vinegar
and 50 parts water. Massage into the hair and cover with
a shower cap or cling wrap. Leave on for at least 40 minutes
or longer if you are able. This solution will neutralizes
the glue substance that the lice use to wrap their eggs
around the hair shaft. This treatment is only for ridding
the hair of nits, not lice.

Treat head lice using tea tree oil - The following
will make a natural head lice shampoo which can be used anytime
it's needed. In a plastic squeeze bottle shake together 2
ounces Tea Tree Oil, 12.5 ounces Dawn Dishwashing Liquid (Must
be dawn) and 4 ounces white vinegar. Use this like regular
shampoo. All lice and nits will be gone within a week. |

Treat head
lice using cetaphil - This method of home remedy for
treating head lice is suggested by dermatologists.
An empty ketchup or squeezable mayonnaise bottle can be
used to mix and store this solution. Fill the bottle with
cetaphil. Squeeze onto the hair making sure every strand
is totally covered. Do bit by bit to make sure you get every
strand. Leave on for at least half an hour. Now blow dry
the hair till completely dry. This could take up to half
an hour to dry. While drying using a comb. You will notice
the lice coming out on the comb. After your hair is dry
apply white vinegar. The white vinegar will loosen the nits
(lice eggs) from the hair shaft so you can easily comb out.

Treat head
lice using lamp oil - Saturate your hair and scalp with
lamp oil.
Make sure every strand of the hair is covered. Wrap the head
with a plastic bag or plastic wrap. Leave it on for at least
half an hour. Take the wrap off the shake your head over a
basin or in the shower. You will see the lice fall out. Use
a comb to get the ones that are left in.
Note -
We recieved an email from a visitor letting us know that we
should also add to this remedy that lamp oil is very flamable.
Do not smoke or light up around anyone using this remedy.
Be sure that all lamp oil has been rinced out well.

Treat head
lice using salt - This remedy is the most simplest and
easiest method to do. Get a bottle of normal shower gel. Take
the lid off and add to it 3 tablespoons of salt. Saturate
the hair and scalp in this solution and leave on for half
an hour. Then just simply wash the hair as normal. This always
makes your hair really shiny.

Treat
head lice using neem oil or neem leaves - If you have
neem oil readily available simply saturate the hair with it.
Wait half an hour then rinse out. If
neem leaves are available boil a couple of handfuls in water
and saturate the hair and scalp then rinse out after half
an hour.

Treat
head lice using olive oil - Rub enough olive oil in the
hair and scalp to cover generously. Put on a shower cap and
leave it overnight. In the morning wash out with dawn dishwashing
liquid. If you have thick or long hair it may take a couple
of times to get all the oil out.

Treat
head lice using rubbing alcohol - In Mexican communities
they saturate the hair with rubbing alcohol.
Leave it on for half an hour and then wash the hair as normal.
This can be done once a week.

I have used this
remedy on my daughter. I just put mayonaise in her hair ( Making sure
to cover all hair with it. put on a showercap for two hours rinse
with white vinager then rinse again with water. All the lice will
be dead they will just fall out when combing hair. Then just remove
all the eggs.
