Chamomile Hair Shampoo

For this shampoo you can use 4 chamomile tea bags or a handful of fresh chamomile flowers or both. If using tea bags let them steep in a cup and a half of hot water for 15 minutes. Remove the tea bags and add to the liquid 4 tablespoons of pure soap flakes. Leave it till the soap softens then add 1 and a half tablespoons of glycerin. Mix well and pour into an attractive bottle. Store this shampoo in a dark place.

Avocado Deep Conditioning Treatment

With a hand or electric beater, beat together 1 jar of real mayonnaise and half an avocado. It will turn a mint green color. Apply this cream into the hair all the way down to the tips. Put a shower cap on for 20 minutes then rinse out. For a deeper cleanse wrap the hair in a hot damp towel after applying the cream.

Tropical Conditioner

Mix together a whole avocado and enough coconut milk to make the consistency of shampoo. Make sure the avocado is mashed well so there are no lumpy bits. Apply this to your hair and leave on for 10 minutes before rinsing out.

Dandruff Removal Treatment

This treatment should be used twice a week. Mix together half a cup of water with half a cup of white vinegar. Massage into the scalp before shampooing your hair.

Natural Hair Spray

Chop either a whole lemon or a whole orange and add it to 2 cups of water. Boil the water until it reduces to half the amount. Wait until the mixture cools then strain it. Place the liquid into a spray bottle and keep it in the fridge. You can add 1 ounce of rubbing alcohol which will let you keep it for 2 weeks without having to be refrigerated.

Natural Hair Gel

Dissolve 1 teaspoon of unflavored gelatin in a cup of warm water. Store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Natural Blonde Hair Dye

Mix a tablespoon of lemon juice in a gallon of warm water. Pour this through your hair 15 times, rerinsing with the same liquid. On the 15th rinse leave on your hair for 20 minutes before rinsing with normal water. Repeat this for a few weeks before you notice a change.

Cover up Gray's

Bring to the simmer half cup of dried sage and 2 cups of water. Let it simmer for 30 minutes. Take it off the heat and let it stand for at least 3 hours. Add the liquid to your hair and leave it on until dry. Then rinse and dry your hair as normal. You should repeat this each week until you get the desired shade. Then repeat if monthly to maintain the color.

Natural Hair Rinse

Mix together 1 ounce of apple cider vinegar and 1 quart of distilled water. Use this as a hair rinse to get rid of buildup and soften the hair.

Anti Frizz

Mix half a cup of conditioner, quarter of a cup of honey and 1 tablespoon of almond oil. Massage mixture into damp hair and leave on for 20 minutes before rinsing out.
